Shortly after the decision by Dartmouth College to require standardized test scores for new applicants, Yale has announced that they will also require applicants to submit scores, starting the Fall of 2025.
Dubbing this a "test-flexible" policy, Yale will require test scores, but unlike other schools will accept any of the following scores: Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), SAT, or ACT. As long as at least one of these reports is submitted, it should fulfill the requirement.
The testing landscape will continue to evolve as new research continues to come out and schools evaluate the effects of being test-optional on admissions and their student bodies.
